Frontage ("we", "us", "our") builds and hosts websites for tradespeople at frontage.uk. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to our site and to customers who sign up for a Frontage website.
Who we are
Frontage is a UK-based business. If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us athello@frontage.uk.
What we collect
Depending on how you use Frontage, we may collect:
- Contact and business details you give us when getting a site built, such as your name, business name, trade, service areas, WhatsApp number, email address, years of experience, jobs completed, and ratings.
- Content you send us, including logos, photos, and job updates you share (for example, over WhatsApp) to keep your site current.
- Domain and site preferences, such as your chosen domain name, template, colours, and fonts.
- Payment information processed on our behalf by Stripe when you subscribe. We do not store your card details ourselves.
- Technical data, such as IP address and browser information, collected automatically when you use our site, largely for security and hosting purposes via our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare.
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Build, host, and update the website we provide for you;
- Process payments and manage your subscription;
- Communicate with you about your site, including via WhatsApp and email;
- Provide customer support and respond to enquiries;
- Keep our service secure and working reliably;
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the third parties that help us run Frontage, including:
- Stripe, to process subscription payments;
- Cloudflare, which hosts our site, your website, and any assets (such as logos) you upload;
- WhatsApp/Meta, where you choose to contact us or send us job updates via WhatsApp;
- Domain registrars, where a domain is registered on your behalf.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Frontage, our customers, or others.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an active Frontage subscription, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, subject to the rights below.
